The storm systems battering the Northwest this week ushered out the last bit of summer and tipped the mountains with snow.

On Friday a skin of ice covered an unnamed lake at about 7500 feet and the snow had accumulated about half an inch.  

No more mesh shoes up high for at least the next six months!

I have a feeling that the rock skis will be coming out early this year.
